Natasha Abbott, a district parent and a lunch supervisor at the elementary school, approached Henline about the possibility of having an inclusive playground at the school. The idea behind a boundless playground for the elementary school began in the summer of 2020 when the COVID-19 shutdowns impacted schools and moved nearly everything to a virtual and online format. “Plus, I think many of you are going to be excited to volunteer your time to get this done,” she said during her online announcement.
